Founded in 1833, Colby College is one of the oldest private liberal arts colleges in the US. Located in Waterville, Maine, the college ranks highly on several reputable lists, including #30 in Liberal Arts Universities by Forbes and #9 Happiest Students list by The Princeton Review. The school’s campus sits atop Mayflower Hill and is home to a 128-acre bird sanctuary. All students are required to undertake the Jan Plan, a program that allows students to pursue an internship, independent study, or take a trip to study abroad.
colby perfectly encompasses the liberal arts with plenty of research and internship opportunities. the campus, people, and staff/faculty are all truly beautiful on the inside and out. people are constantly looking out for you, while still keeping a competitive edge on athletics and academics.

Colby College provides a safe and welcoming environment to prospective and new students as well as an experience that is unique, challenging, and gratifying. The largest classes at Colby are probably the introductory science courses, which take place in rather large lecture halls, but most commonly the student to faculty ratio is 10 : 1. Finally, Colby has hundreds of established clubs, service opportunities, sports teams, and campus-wide events, but continues to approve new extra curricular activities at the student body's request.
