The College of Charleston, founded in 1770, is the oldest institution of higher learning in South Carolina and the 13th oldest in the United States. Charleston is a public space- and sea-grant institution located in a historic area of downtown Charleston. The cobbled streets and 18th century architecture have led to the college being named “America’s Most Beautiful College Campus” by Travel + Leisure Magazine. The most popular majors are business administration, biology, and psychology.
Charleston is beautiful along with the campus. The people are friendly and the coursework is tedious, but doable when you give your all and focus. There is never anything not happening at the campus so you can always find something to do.
