Am learning a lot
Since the classes are small you are in a cozier environment and you have much more one on one time with the teacher. The curriculum is complex and yet easy to work with and you achieve a much higher educational experience then you think you would get.
Am enjoying being here
The students are a variety at College of Lake County and you end up making a massive amount of friends and study buddies. There are sections throughout the school where you can relax and study at the same time. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. The school itself is very welcoming and creates a relaxing atmosphere so you can gain the education you need.
Bang for the buck
Each credit only being about one hundred dollars, it is a lot cheaper then other schools. Of course if you are full time some people such as myself need a massive amount of help for the pricing. But it is a lot cheaper then other schools in Illinois and it is definitely worth the price.
Great for these types of students
If you don't know what major you would like to pursue and are just looking to get your general classes out of the way then College of Lake County is the place to be. Then again, if you know what career you would like to pursue then this is also the place for you. It is a fun educational environment.

Did learn a lot
I enjoyed my coursework and feel confident that it has prepared me for my transfer to a four-year university to earn a Bachelor's degree.
Did enjoy being here
I found this junior college to be a perfect fit for my busy schedule. I was able to both be a full-time student and work at full-time job thanks to CLC's ample offering of online coursework.
Bang for the buck
Junior college was a great way for me to save money in order to pursue the rest of my education out-of-state.
Tips for prospective students
This is a great step from high school to college. A great way to stay home, earn an income, and save money on tuition.
Great for these types of students
Online coursework is ideal for the motivated, self-starting, organized student.

Am learning a lot
Teachers show you a different approach from what you learn in high school, it's not the same basics. You learn a new way to look at your own work.
Am enjoying being here
It's comfortable and welcoming, people genuinely want to see you excel with your goals.
Bang for the buck
It's cheaper than Illinois universities but still a wonderful education. Much easier on the wallet than going to a big college to get gen eds.
Tips for prospective students
Don't take advantage of it because it's a community college. The professors really are there to help and the classes are wonderful quality, it's up to you to put the effort in after that.
Great for these types of students
Those who have dedicated to get the education but might not have top dollar to start it right away.

The teachers actually enjoy teaching here.
Am enjoying being here
It's a small college, small classes, so better learning experience in my opinion.
Bang for the buck
The classes are so inexpensive, and they offer payment plans.
Tips for prospective students
Take core classes here then transfer to a university.
Great for these types of students
Busy workers, Someone who wants to not pay big school prices for classes they can learn in for cheaper.

Am learning a lot
Teacher's here are highly dedicated to individual and small-scale learning. The teachers are very passionate about their subjects and highly dedicated to student success.
Am enjoying being here
I got highly involved in Student Activities my second semester and it completely changed my college experience at CLC. CLC is one of those schools where you get what you put in to it. If you want to have fun and good academics, you get that. If you want to skate by and come just for classes you can do that too.
Bang for the buck
A school you can be a full time student for under $1500 a semester and your classes are highly transferable. This is the #1 reason to come to CLC.
Tips for prospective students
Use the Math/Writing Tutoring Center and Get Involved with Student Activities!
Great for these types of students
Studious, Independent, and trying to go to college cheap.

Small class sizes make one on one time with instructors easy. One of the best community colleges you can attend in Illinois.
Am enjoying being here
Although it's a good school, you're still missing out on the University experience that can't be replicated at a commuter school.
Bang for the buck
You're paying almost nothing for an education that you would cost you 20 times as much elsewhere.
