College of Saint Mary has been a wonderful experience thus far and I hope the next three years of me attending can be just as wonderful. They has been very helpful with me and my son, and are very generous beings. I love the atmosphere and feel welcomed by everyone.
Tips for prospective students
I would encourage any female to attend the College of Saint Mary if she is serious about furthering her education. There is nothing better than going to school, loving it, and making a future for yourself while getting to learn about yourself at the same time. You will make amazing friendships, and leave the college of Saint Mary with not only a degree, but a sisterhood.
Academic Rigor
The difficutly of your academics depends on how well you organize your work, take notes, and participate in classroom conversations. The more you study the better your chances are for success. If you slack off and don't do your work the classes are not easy to catch up in.
Dorm Life
The dorms I live in feel like home. I am living in the new Mothers Living and Learning Building. The whole building consist of single mothers and there children. The mothers love it and so do the kids.
Food and Dining
The lunchroom is served like a buffet would. There is a salad bar, cereal, toast, bagels, the main course, soup bar, dessert, fountain drinks, coffee, tea, variety of juice, and much more. Every day the main course changes. It can be anything from meatloaf to chicken cordon bleu.
What to do for fun
There are many things to do for fun on and off campus. The campus is located near a variety of stores and strip malls. Getting to know your peers will allow you to find an unlimited amount of things to do for fun.
Bang for the buck
College of Saint Mary is not a cheap school, but the education you receive is worth it. Also, the reputation the school has will allow you to pursue in almost any career you choose with your degree.
Great for these types of students
This college is great for students who want to focus on furthering their education. This school is for students who want to go into the medical field, become a nurse, own a business, and much more.
Campus Safety
The campus has security patrolling 24 hours a day and the dorms require an access card to enter and to go up and down the elevators. Also, since it is an all female campus males have to be escorted at all times.

Tips for prospective students
Be sure to join at least one group or club. There are a plethora from which to choose! That being said, however, do not let activities interfere with academics.
Academic Rigor
Each class is quite challenging and highly encourages critical thinking.
Dorm Life
I have not lived on campus, but the dorms seem pretty nice.
Food and Dining
I have only eaten at school a handful of times, but each time has been delicious! There is also a wide variety of foods available.
Clubs and Activities
There is truly something for everyone! Several majors also encourage membership to professional organizations.
Campus Safety
Security guards are always present and incredibly helpful. For example, if one has an evening class, she can call a security guard who will accompany one to her dorm/vehicle. The campus is also very well-lit.

College of Saint Mary school is an all girl school that focuses on women's education and empowerment. It also has a single moms program and has a separate dorm for mothers and children to live at. Overall it is a good college to go to.
Tips for prospective students
This school is based on academics. There is high expectation and a lot of people willing to help. Scholarships are a must if you want to attend.
Academic Rigor
Almost everyone has a 3.0 and above. Being an all-girl school helps focus more on your schoolwork. Small classrooms are a big help for one-on-one help.
Dorm Life
There is not much to do here and almost everyone leaves for the weekends. They do have a lot of activities planned throughout the week and have special events.
Food and Dining
I love the food here and the desserts are to die for! The cafeteria people are very nice and sweet!
What to do for fun
Joining a sport is always fun and a quick way to make friends. There are also many clubs such as a Nursing Association club, an Occupational Therapy club, Multicultural club, student senate, Spanish club... etc. The Lied Fitness center is another fun thing to do on campus to work out. Usually opened to 10pm on somedays and 12am on others. Nice pool as well!
Bang for the buck
It is a very expensive school, but for those who are healthcare majors, College of Saint Mary has a good reputation in all hospitals and health places in the Midwest.
Great for these types of students
It is great for single mothers and their children since they have a whole dorm building to themselves. It's great for Occupational Therapy students and nursing students. They have a 5 year program for Masters in Occupational Therapy and a 3-year BSN program for nursing. The only one of its kind!
Clubs and Activities
There are many clubs on campus! Some clubs include: The Nursing Association club, an Occupational Therapy club, Multicultural club, student senate, Spanish club
Greek Life
There is no greek life.
Campus Safety
Security is a lot more stricter than most places considering the fact children do live on campus. Security people are very nice and are always walking in around campus no matter the weather.

I believe that College of Saint Mary is an excellent college for any young woman to attend. The college has high expectations for every student, pushing that student to do their best in school which will benefit the student both inside and outside the classroom. The high expectations will help the student improve themselves, and who wouldn't want to improve themselves?
Tips for prospective students
My tips for prospective students would be to find things that you enjoy, ways to help you relax, and keep yourself busy. Have fun while in college, but remember to keep academics your priority. Also, do not be afraid to ask for help! Anything you can do to better yourself, do it!
Academic Rigor
Academics is the key to school. We do go to school to learn, which means academics. So, we have to keep our academics up to be able to do well in school, which will teach us other life lessons to better ourselves outside of school.
Dorm Life
I believe everyone should experience at least one year of dorm life. You learn a lot about yourself, you make new friends, and you get to experience living on campus and getting the benefits that the campus has to offer you. After experiencing one year of living on campus, you can cross dorm life off of your college bucket list.
Food and Dining
Food and dining is very important for health and social reasons. You get to sit at tables with friends, or make new friends while eating! It is a great way to socialize while eating to keep your body nourished. There are lots of options every day to choose from, so you will not have to worry about getting sick of the same thing every day.
What to do for fun
At College of Saint Mary they have plenty of activities to keep you busy! On campus, there is a theater, gallery, cafe, study area, computer lab, pool, workout facility, and plenty more! There are also community activities to help others out. Otherwise, Omaha is a busy town, there are always fun ways to keep busy!
