College of the Atlantic is a private, 4-year institution established in Bar Harbor, Maine. The campus features a variety of facilities unique to the environment, such as the Beech Hill and Peggy Rockefeller Farms. All students enrolling in COA create their own individual Human Ecology degree plans with a small core curriculum in place to build around. Among other notable achievements, COA was the very first college to become carbon neutral.
A unique school with a small student body and a trans-disciplinary, self-designed approach to learning.
Basically, it's for people who are serious about what they're doing and want to change the world. It's for people who don't want to define themselves to one major and instead see the world as interconnected. It's a college for doers.
