Take everything serious, get involved and the first week of each new semester make sure you arrive on campus 30- 45 minutes before class starts; parking is crazy ridiculous to find and if you are not in your seat at the EXACT time of your class. I've witnessed students get dropped and replaced with someone on the "waitlist" for being a couple of minutes late on the first day. Professors don't care whatever your excuse or reason is, it's your responsibility not theirs.
