You're in the heart of Chicago! There are museums galore, not to mention the Art Institute, the Shedd Aquarium, the Adler Planetarium, and Millennium Park.

Chicago holds a lot of events and places to go at all times. The museums normally have free days if you don't want to pay for them and many of the main parks and beaches are not that far of a walk. There is also great food and art performances almost every day. If you want to find something you normally can here.

you're in the city, grab some friends and explore! go see shows, there is always something going on. there are open mics, improv and sketch shows, plays, and concerts on and off campus. great thing about being a college student is that you can often get into shows for free or at a discounted price. also if you enjoy going to museums keep an eye out for free days or head to the art institute because that's free for all students.

What isn't there to do? On campus, there are clubs for every subject, off campus, we have free entry to the Art Institute, and discounted tickets at other museums. So many bands perform concerts in Chicago, and our newspaper gives us easy access to free advance movie screenings. We're really close to a lot that Chicago has to offer, so you can do whatever you want here.

Chicago has a lot of activities around the city so there's plenty to do. Also, they have events at the school every single week, so if you want something to do, you can find it.

The city of Chicago has it all - live music, cultural events, Taste of Chicago, Air Show, Navy Pier, Grant Park, Lincoln Park Zoo, The Art Institute, Museum of Science and Industry, Adler Planetarium, the list goes on and on. And did I mention the SHOPPING - endless high end, designer stores and every good restaurant imaginable.

The South loop is one of the most adventurous places ever. Even going for a simple walk is fun. Navy Pier, multiple museums, Grant Park, House of blues, Michigan Ave, lots of cute bakeries are all within a walking distance, or a short bus ride.

It's Chicago. Go to the Art Institute, Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Contemporary Photography, do touristy things like go visit the Bean, lay out in millenium park, go ice skating, go to Wicker Park (Milwaukee Ave area is super cool), go to the beach, tons of shopping on State Street and Michigan Avenue.

Many students can attend student events, nearby music venues, comedy shows, concerts, etc. There is always something to do at Columbia. Get out of your dorm room and meet new people, because you might end up bored if you get lazy!
