Columbia College Hollywood is very up to date and current with the classes they offer here. It is an excellent institution with manageable class sizes and one-on-one tutoring available. It features industry professionals and utilizes its proximity to Hollywood to place students and graduates into highly valued internships.
Tips for prospective students
Research diligently before making your decision. Columbia comprehensively covers all aspects of Cinema and TV Production, so be very open when you first arrive here. As you go through the classes, you might find that you begin to fall in love with an aspect of cinema or television production quite different from what you originally thought about.
Academic Rigor
You will get an opportunity to make several productions and you will participate in every capacity. The work begins from day one. No time for slouching. You can begin making a film short (if you are ready) from the first day yu arrive here.
Dorm Life
There is excellent dorm living.
Food and Dining
Located in Southern California's San Fernando Valley, there are lots of affordable (and high end) places to dine at.
What to do for fun
several campus drama productions, screenwriting competitions, and lots of student short film festivals to try out in.
Great for these types of students
Artsy visionary filmmaker types who are prepared to take risks to get their ideas forward. There are also special fantastic classes catering to film-makers who want to specialize in documentary film-making - my personal favorites.
Campus Safety
Excellent Safety. There is twenty four hour protection on campus, and around the campus residences as well. There are security cameras all across campus, and everyone's safety and comfort if of the utmost priority.

A small but wonderful film school that give you a hands on experience. At Columbia College Hollywood you learn about all aspects of film and get a chance to work you way into the industry.
Tips for prospective students
If you want to come to this film school you need to really love film and have to be willing to work hard. If you put effort into any of your work you will get closer and closer to what you want.
Academic Rigor
Studies here is very hands on and you are put in all areas of film in the beginning so it lets you know whether or not you want actually be a director or if screenwriting is more your style.
Dorm Life
One thing about this campus is there is student housing or you find your own housing or stay with someone. I recommend staying with somebody or finding your own housing unless you can afford the student housing which is also very nice just a tad bit pricey.
Food and Dining
It's no cafeteria if your looking for one but they do have vending machines and do school bbqs every once in a while and if you are struggling with food they have a program for that.
What to do for fun
For fun I write many scripts and I usually am on set, casting, or visiting major sets.
Bang for the buck
Worth the money you spend if you use the resources.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
cool sound stage.
Great for these types of students
Film, tv, and music producers.
Clubs and Activities
film clubs
Campus Safety
safe campus

Columbia College Hollywood sounds like a really good school for people who want to work in the film business for a living. They have the the latest camera inthe film industry: the red camera. The tuition isn't as high as the Higher Ivy league film schools.
Tips for prospective students
Students looking to attend to this school i'd say just to really look at where you'd be financially, even though it's not as expensive, it still cost money and you got to pay careful atttention to your budget so you won't come out of college with a lot of debt on your shoulders.
Academic Rigor
I can't really rate the school because I hadn't started yet, but so far it sounds like a really good film school.
What to do for fun
Go look around the los Angelos area, especially it's the first time you'll be living in California or try and make friends with someone at the school and maybe go somewhere with them.
Campus Safety
Stay alert and be aware of your surroundings, you'd be suprised who really don't like you.
