The school is great! The instructors are genuinely good people with very interesting stories, and the education is great. Being a community college doesn’t mean the education won’t be great.

Columbus state is definitely a highly cost effective choice. The academics can be as tough as you want them to be, as well as tending to be easier / more relaxed than similar courses offered at 4-year institutions. This is also an excellent choice for completing pre-requisite courses for select Ohio universities like OSU, as their transfer programs are excellently aligned.

Good start right out of high school while still trying to figure out what major interests you the most while not paying too much per credit hour. Did not get any academic advising or help scheduling classes like many universities would. Small class sizes and professors are pretty much down the middle, really great or really bad.
