    Don't worry about getting accepted! Apply & you're in! CHECK YOUR STUDENT EMAIL!! GET INVOLVED! Especially with Phi Theta Kappa, because once you're a member, you're a member for life! ALWAYS apply for foundation/institution scholarships - it's a small school, so the competition is a lot smaller too.

    As a prospective student be proactive. Professors and staff are very nice if you ask them for help. Respect yours and everybody's time and effort. Make connections because it is always fun to walk on campus and to say hi to many people.

    If you're applying at the last minute, it can help if you are able to pick a school schedule and then base your work hours around that. Although I haven't been hit with a terrible load of homework, it's always a good practice to designate a time to do so that works best for you. At orientation, some teachers suggested that each of our class periods should be approximately the same length of time allotted for homework in that class. This often isn't the case but it's good for scheduling.
