    Visit the school before you commit. Our school is beautiful but surrounded by a thick band of wilderness. If you are a city person, this could be an adventure but you may regret it if you don't visit first.

    I would make sure that Dartmouth EXCELS in the field that you wish to pursue. Though it is a wonderful college that helps with many different majors and minors, it would be best to make sure they have great professors in the field you wish to excel in!!! :)

    Don't pay attention to the current news about Dartmouth. It is a great school with an open student body that feels they have the right to voice its opinion, which is truly the best part about the school. While some institutions sweep important issues under the rug, Dartmouth embraces challenges and finds ways to ameliorate the issues.
