Join clubs in subjects you have not delved in to see if perhaps your interest lies there. Visit other cities like San Francisco, San Jose, and Santa Cruz.

From my limited experiences at De Anza, there is nothing to do for fun on campus itself, but there are places nearby where you can hang out with friends, such as the plaza across the street from the school.

There's a shopping center at the intersection of Mary Ave and Stevens Creek Blvd, where you can watch discounted movies at Bluelight Cinemas, eat at food franchises (Jamba Juice, ToGo's, Quickly, etc), buy/rent books at Premier Off Campus Textbooks, and see little girls practice ballet at the Dance Academy. There are a couple of churches nearby, too, but I don't know much about them. Speaking of churches, there are actually pairs of Mormon missionaries who come to De Anza often. They're pretty nice to talk to if they come up to you. There are always events at De Anza if you speak to several clubs and organizations on campus. You can always check the bulletin boards and posters around campus for upcoming events.

There are a variety of clubs that have focuses that span from Japanese culture to studying dentistry. For the more athletic students, De Anza offers a good number of sports with great records behind each sport.

Join a club! Pick up one of many fliers advertising things to do in the area, or events on campus. Talk to people- you never know who you will meet at De Anza.
