It's probably easy for most people to slack off in classes, but once you start it's hard to break those bad habits. If you keep your head in the game and prioritize, your classwork at DePaul should be no sweat. Advisers will place you in classes that will challenge you, but that you will be able to keep up with as well. Aside from the classroom though, I'm learning a lot about myself, my friends, and different communities and lifestyles. Chicago is a great place for a classroom. There's always something more to learn, especially when you're in the city.

Depaul offers so many job and internship opportunities, on campus jobs are abundant, and so many great clubs and travel abroad opportunities. DePaul is not your normal college campus as well. The city is literally at your doorsteps and there is always something to do including marathons, museums, sports games, and festivals!

DePaul University is a full learning experience all in itself due to its location and facilities. Students will learn an invaluable lesson in independence by living in the city. Also, the school has many talented and intelligent professors and resources that will offer experience and opportunities to the students.

  • Jul-27-2015 I am researching this school and have visited the campus

I have read before that the staff is somewhat incompetent and does not care, and that has been proven by my various encounters with them thus far in my college search. It took about 4 days for my inquiry to the financial aid office to be responded to, and the message I got back was asking me to define the word prorate.... Then, I emailed an academic adviser about a very specific question I had regarding the college of education, and again, 5 days later I get an email back that just gave me the phone number to the undergraduate admissions office, saying they can answer all of your questions. At Loyola, UIUC, and Lake Forest, I emailed an academic adviser and each time they were very prompt and VERY helpful. If I planned on applying, turning me away like that is not the best way to keep my interest.

I don't regret my decision to attend DePaul. It's the best experience in my life so far. I know by the time I graduate, I will have gained valuable connections, relevant education, and, equally important, best friends that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

DePaul is probably one of the most accepting religious schools that I have encountered. As a Catholic institution, they not only accept but accommodate to the religious practices of others and give them any and all resources necessary for worship and practice, and they also accept people who have no faith. DePaul is a very welcoming community and no matter who you are you will be able to find your fit.

The campus is big, and all the staff and students are friendly. Classroom sizes are a little larger. I love it there!
