It's probably easy for most people to slack off in classes, but once you start it's hard to break those bad habits. If you keep your head in the game and prioritize, your classwork at DePaul should be no sweat. Advisers will place you in classes that will challenge you, but that you will be able to keep up with as well. Aside from the classroom though, I'm learning a lot about myself, my friends, and different communities and lifestyles. Chicago is a great place for a classroom. There's always something more to learn, especially when you're in the city.

depaul is a very understanding and accepting school whether it be financially, socially, or academically. they offer resources for all types of students and make you feel as though you are not just another student id. the ratio of student to teacher is very low, making it a much more focused and participating classroom.

DePaul is a very diverse school that puts a lot of emphasis on social justice and community service. It has two main campuses in Chicago, providing the best that downtown Chicago and it's surroundings have to offer to students. It is overall a great school for someone not seeking the typical college experience.

Depaul offers so many job and internship opportunities, on campus jobs are abundant, and so many great clubs and travel abroad opportunities. DePaul is not your normal college campus as well. The city is literally at your doorsteps and there is always something to do including marathons, museums, sports games, and festivals!

DePaul University is a full learning experience all in itself due to its location and facilities. Students will learn an invaluable lesson in independence by living in the city. Also, the school has many talented and intelligent professors and resources that will offer experience and opportunities to the students.

  • Jul-27-2015 I am researching this school and have visited the campus

I have read before that the staff is somewhat incompetent and does not care, and that has been proven by my various encounters with them thus far in my college search. It took about 4 days for my inquiry to the financial aid office to be responded to, and the message I got back was asking me to define the word prorate.... Then, I emailed an academic adviser about a very specific question I had regarding the college of education, and again, 5 days later I get an email back that just gave me the phone number to the undergraduate admissions office, saying they can answer all of your questions. At Loyola, UIUC, and Lake Forest, I emailed an academic adviser and each time they were very prompt and VERY helpful. If I planned on applying, turning me away like that is not the best way to keep my interest.
