If you are considering coming to Dixie, I'd say come try it out for a semester and you will love it! In every class, there are about 20-30 students and you become close with your classmates and your professor. You won't regret coming here!

Don't show up with a slacker attitude. Being an open enrollment school, some people show up thinking they can breeze through college just like they did high school. The professors here will help you so much if you put in your best effort, but if you don't try, they will not hesitate to fail you. On the other hand, don't take school too seriously. Four years is too long to sit in your bedroom studying and waiting for summer to save you from your misery. Dixie has so many activities outside of class; take part in them! Get involved. Have a good time!

Wait to get your textbooks because most professors end up not using them, and their notes are so much more helpful. Do not be afraid to seek out help! It might sound scary, but the tutors on campus are so helpful and they know what they're talking about. Live in the dorms on campus your first year! You'll be close to the action on campus and won't have to worry about driving every where.
