Attend a real University like the U. The only reason anybody attends Dixie is because it is cheap and the weather is nice....or they are complete slackers. I am receiving my associates this semester and will be transferring to the U for a real education. I wish I could feel like my first two years of college has prepared me for that.

There aren't that many scholarships for out of state students. The best available are waivers that vary based on how close you live to the state. There are also few study abroad programs at the school. There are however study abroad organizations that the school is affiliated with and could result in waivers.

If you are considering coming to Dixie, I'd say come try it out for a semester and you will love it! In every class, there are about 20-30 students and you become close with your classmates and your professor. You won't regret coming here!

Don't show up with a slacker attitude. Being an open enrollment school, some people show up thinking they can breeze through college just like they did high school. The professors here will help you so much if you put in your best effort, but if you don't try, they will not hesitate to fail you. On the other hand, don't take school too seriously. Four years is too long to sit in your bedroom studying and waiting for summer to save you from your misery. Dixie has so many activities outside of class; take part in them! Get involved. Have a good time!
