Dixie State is a college that has its strengths and weaknesses. Depending on what field you are going into, you can feel either immersed in knowledge or left out to dry. I now am learning quite a bit, the psychology program has finally got finalized at Dixie State. So, now, even though they don't have enough teachers for the student load, it feels as if you are accomplishing something by attending this school and participating in this program.

Firing faculty without cause or justification halfway through a semester is not conducive to a safe learning environment. The Administration doesn't give us answers as to why and refuses to hear our concerns on the matter. I used to love this school and enjoyed going to class everyday. Now I just hope to survive and graduate Spring 2018. Honestly, If I wasn't so close to graduation I would transfer out. If you or your child are thinking of attending this University, trust me when I say there are far better options out there.

Definitely still a party school. Many of the professors are adjuncts with bachelors degrees and little work experience in their fields. The only thing challenging about this school is dealing with professors who are unprofessional at best.

Dixie is a great school to go to, it is less expensive than most schools. All of the teachers that I've had so far were very passionate about their subjects. There are various events going on throughout the semester, usually with free food.

St. George is always sunny and warm, so Dixie offers many activities and gear to get you outdoors all year round! Dixie offers open enrollment, but keeps the class sizes small so it's easy to form study groups and make friends. Each professor will know your name by the end of the semester and is happy to take questions either in class or privately in his or her office.

Dixie State University is a good place is you're looking for a small town school. Be prepared to learn yourself because most teachers have a second job that they care about more. It is a good transition to high school to University life or a good place to get your Associates Degree.
