Go into the heart of Philadelphia, everything is a subway ride away, and the subway tokens are cheap! You can go from Penn's Landing to Independence Hall, and even visit your friends at Temple, Penn, and St. Joe's.

At Drexel the city of Philadelphia is your proverbial oyster. You should visit the Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, The Constitution Center, The Liberty Bell, Penns Landing, Independence Hall, City Hall, South Street, Reading Terminal Market, Chinatown, a Philly sports team game, LOVE Park, Old City, Betsy Ross House, Edgar Allan Poe Historic Site, and so much more. On campus there are activities such as movie night, rock-climbing, and various events/trips sponsored by different clubs and organizations.

There is a lot to do at Drexel and in Philadelphia in general. From sight-seeing, to touring museums and art galleries, to even shopping at large shopping malls and shopping centers. It's not likely that you can get bored at Drexel. Even then, it's highly unlikely to be bored at Drexel since its academic rigor is so fast paced.

Not only does Drexel plan numerous events including city tours, free movie screenings on-campus (indoors and outdoors), and stage shows, but the entire City of Philadelphia is open to your enjoyment. If you can't find something to do for fun, you're not trying. Campus is about a block away from 30th St Station which can take you to just about anywhere in the tristate area. Besides that, the Schuylkill River Trail is directly nearby which is perfect for jogging and bike-riding alongside nature in such a seemingly urban setting. Philadelphia is the city of neighborhoods with each one having its own personality. Just find one you like and explore it (or make it a goal to explore them all!). I recommend uwishunu.com for event planning. The dozens of festivals featured year round will definitely be mentioned on this blog for Philly fun, so no excuses if you can't find something to do!

Obviously one big draw for a city school is the opportunity for fun. There are tons upon tons of things you can do for fun in the city of brotherly love (Philadelphia). Anything you wanna find you probably can. From day trips to the Art Museum to Night time hookah bars with your friends. If you're feeling really adventurous the Megabus runs to New York city for around $5-$10 ticket. The options are endless so this should be your last concern. And for all of you looking for some classic college fun there's plenty of fraternity gatherings along with other events happening at UPENN right next door.
