    Campus Safety

I have never had a problem at Dunwoody concerning safety, which is a big deal considering I am a small female and the majority of the students are men. When you go into a program you develop close friendships with your class. The guys in my class always make sure that at night they walk me to my car in a group and I am safe throughout campus. They don't have to considering there are plenty of security guards but we all watch out for each other.

Great for these types of students

Dunwoody is great for men and women, nerds who want to geek out about how cool the science is behind their field of study, and for anyone who wants to have an education they will retain the knowledge they learn in their courses.

    Bang for the buck

Dunwoody is worth the investment and my advice is apply for as many scholarships as possible! The college not only directs you to scholarships but has resources to help you apply to scholarships. This is a top quality college.

    What to do for fun

What I do for fun is hang out with my fellow college students at a brewery right across the street as well as play ping pong. The college is located right next to the sculpture gardens and downtown Minneapolis with many restaurants and shops. There is no end to things to do or cool old buildings to look at.

    Food and Dining

The cafeteria has good food and has good selection. They also have vegetarian options and a salad bar.

    Dorm Life

There are apartments close by that a lot of the students choose to live at. They are clean and a very short walk to the college.

    Academic Rigor

With any college of course there will be homework and tough concepts to grasp. Dunwoody teachers teach in a way that it is easy to understand and they offer to tutor if you need more help. They genuinely want you to succeed and get a great job which is why Dunwoody is top choice in industry for new hires.

    Tips for prospective students

If you are thinking about this college, please visit. Not only will you find that the staff is amazing but if you talk with fellow students, they will not only help you find what you are looking for but will usually take you straight to where you need to be.

    In three sentences

Dunwoody is a hands on college that will not only prepare you for the working world but has an extremely high job placement rate. As a minority in this college compared to past colleges I have attended, I feel more accepted and a part of the team. The staff at Dunwoody are helpful and proactive in making sure I am doing well and they are teaching me in a way that I can understand.

    Campus Safety

I never had any security concerns on campus. The school employs a security guard company to monitor the school and the parking lot. As a female I always felt relatively safe on campus.

    Bang for the buck

You certainly get what you pay for. Yes, tuition is a little bit more than you want to pay but Dunwoody is a recognized school in the trades. Some employers seek out Dunwoody graduates and prefer to higher Dunwoody students/alumni over other trade school graduates. + Free parking. This is unheard of for most colleges. Especially a college that is located within walking distance to downtown.

    What to do for fun

    Go to the game room!

    Food and Dining

The food is amazing but it can get expensive if you eat in the cafeteria all of the time.

    Academic Rigor

The work is challenging but this is to be expected. As the saying goes... you get what you pay for. In this case, you are paying for a A+++ education and this is what you get. So a little sweat equity has to be put into your education.

    Tips for prospective students

Come prepared, ready to learn, and most importantly READY TO SUCCEED!

    In three sentences

Professional setting. Instructors work or have worked in the field so you get actual applications versus textbook theories. The quality of education and hands on learning that you will receive is second to none!!!

    Food and Dining

Food is great! but as expected for a college, its really expensive.

    Dorm Life

    Academic Rigor

I was an average student in high school and it always took me a little extra to pick up the material. So I will say I feel very challenged everyday with what we are learning. Its not easy, but its sure worth it.

    Tips for prospective students

Dunwoody is a place where you know you will succeed with the 'tools' they equip you with. They all but guarantee success, it all depends if you want to take it.

    In three sentences

Dunwoody makes you feel welcome. They care if I succeed or not. The professors are actual people from the field who do a remarkable job teaching.

Great for these types of students

I think this school is open to anyone. If you have your heart set on something that Dunwoody offers, jump in! This school offers you so many opportunities. You never feel like an outsider. You feel welcome and like you are making a difference in the field of your choice. This is such a diverse school, the only thing you have to be willing to do is learn.

    Tips for prospective students

The tips I have to offer you is always be productive. If you aren't you get behind. You always have to have a positive attitude. You may not know how to do everything they teach you, you just have to have patience and it will come to you. Most importantly you have to want to learn. You can't go to any school with a big head thinking you know everything. Stick up for yourself and always do well. You will make your teachers proud, your self proud, and you will feel very good about yourself.. which is always a plus.

    Bang for the buck

I would have to say Yes. You can't learn something from someone if they have never done it before. All the teachers there have had experience in the Graphic Design world. They know what they are teaching you. They aren't taking it out of a book, there are no lessons plans. You will come out with so much knowledge that its definitely worth your time and money!

    Am enjoying being here

Every day I am there I think about how excited I am to be there. I love going to school. I love the teachers, the students and the staff. You never feel alone there, you are welcome every where you go.

    Am learning a lot

I am learning so much from Dunwoody. All the teacher's there are experienced. They have all worked in the field or still are. They know so many things and try to teach us everything they know. I thought I knew a lot in High School, but on my first day in June, I learned more than I did in the two years I took Yearbook in High School.
