this college saved me so much money that i was able to transfer to my dream school. i knew students that were nonresident that went to dcc, and even though they had to pay the extra 1600/semester (nonresident rate at my time of enrollment) they still said it was an absolute steal.

Waste of 4 years of my life. Associates degree takes 4 years to achieve at this college and you're not allowed to retake courses. I received 1 D and was kicked out immediately. When I asked Mrs. Grutzner if I could retake the class she was extremely unprofessional, uncompassionate, and disrespectful. I saved all correspondence with her because I thought others would like to know how inappropriate the faculty is at this college!! She told me too bad and better luck at another school even though no school will take transfer credits from this dump of a school!!!!

For how much you spend it's just awesome. The amount of things they offer is amazing. Free tutoring, unlimited printing, they have a writing center to help you get through those treacherous english courses, they have career and counseling. Walk in hours for almost any office (financial aid, etc). There are music labs and recording booths. Private study rooms you can reserve for FREE for group projects. They have white boards and TVs in them. The library is HUGE and has plenty of nooks for you to settle down and read a book during your breaks between classes.

Cheap as hell. Two years costs about $7500, excluding books. Cost of a college education is definitely more affordable if you go here. The difference between going here and then to a 4 year SUNY and going four years to a SUNY is about $32,000, and the savings are even greater if you end up going to a private school afterwards.

Being located in the Hudson Valley, there are many historic sites to visit, the beautiful Dutchess Rail Trail to walk or bike on, and this connects to the magnificent Walk Way Over the Hudson. Additonally, NYC is only a train ride away if a bus trip isn't convenient for you.
