    A bicycle is always a plus because you can get from one end of campus to the other in about 5 minutes. Always bring your keys, no mater where you are going. Its going to be rainy no matter the season so bring some rain clothes or umbrella.

    Even though some consider ECU a party school, in reality every school is a party school. You can choose to be a part of the party crowd or not. I know many people who are not a part of the partying crowd.

    Make sure you take a visit to campus during the school year so you can see how it is when everyone is on campus. Also come to a football game!

    Be prepared to take rigorous course loads. There is a lot of reading and writing assignments. If you don't like that style of learning, perhaps another school would be better for you.

    Do not get caught up in the party scene. A couple of my friends did their freshman year and their GPA's are suffering it now. The best advice I can give you is to get a planner and stay on top of your assignments.
