Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. What Students Are Saying

A small, private university with a 13:1 student-to-teacher ratio. The university is located in a beautiful, tranquil setting in the Shenandoah Mountains. Students receive lots of individual attention from instructors.
Justin from Arlington, VA
EMU is a great school with a beautiful campus where you can build strong connections with fellow students for lifelong friendships, and with professors for great references after college or summer internships. At EMU, a cross cultural is worked into the curriculum, so seeing the world is required, and gives you the opportunity to become well rounded. Finally, at EMU, you are a person, where the faculty goes out of their way to work with you, not just a number on campus.
