Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. What Students Are Saying

because the school in based in south florida, there is a great deal of diversity, not only in relation to the students but also the teachers. the main campus, also knows as the modesto maidique campus (mmc), has the largest and greatest class selection in comparison to the other campuses--many of the classes and extracurricular activities are very interesting and bountiful, allowing there to be something for everyone who attends the school. the beautiful tropical campus is also easy to navigate, with it taking a relatively short amount of time to get from one side of the campus to the other, meaning getting to class on time will not be a problem.

fiu is a great school for anyone who is looking for a diverse group of students and a great education. teachers will always have office hours open to help you whenever you need it and they truly encourage you to come ask them for help. fiu also makes it easy for you to work your schedule around your hours.
