Definitely not five star dining, but not terrible either. Definitely not my Mom's cooking, but it's edible and can be pretty satisfying. If you don't like the on campus dining experience there are quite a few fast food places not too far from campus.

The town of Hays offers a good variety of dining restaurants. Whether you are craving something quick like McDonald's or Wendy's or wish for a steak dinner at Whiskey Creek. It also has great pizza places, like Lamato's, that has cream cheese pockets as one of it's signature toppings. Another great place to dine is at Gella's, which was recently featured in the Huffington Post as a great place to dine in Kansas. No matter what your taste, there is something for everyone in Hays, Kansas.

Food and dining on Fort Hays Virtual College is also amazing as you can eat as you are in class. Virtual College is the best as it helps you do things the way that fits you best.

The cafeteria serves pretty good food, and there is also a lot of options to choose from on campus that you can using dining dollars for... such as Starbucks and Pizza Hut!

There is a cafeteria in the bottom of McMindes hall that has smart and healthy food choices available every day. The food sometimes isn't that great, but honestly what cafeteria food is? There is also the student union on campus, which has a Starbucks, Pizza Hut/Wing Street, a Tiger Market (which provides two different food options every weekday), then a hamburger and chicken grill, and a huge salad bar. The cool thing is, all the food places on campus you use your TigerCard for, with a meal plan that is already purchased, the students don't have to worry about having a lot of money to spend on food. There are also several different meal plan options on campus.

If you enjoy small sororities and fraternities then Greek life on this campus is for you. It is still growing and improving every year.

There are only a handful of fraternities and sororities on campus and they all do a lot of service work in the community.
