Make sure you check out ratemyprofessor.com before enrolling in certain classes, if you don't know of someone who has attended. It would have been nice to have a heads up on a couple of my teachers, or to have known that all of the teachers (even with Ph.D.'s) go by their first names. It does seem like you will end up having all of your tests for each class on the same week, and a couple of teachers have a last exam/final paper/final exam all due within a few days of each other.

Community College is a great way to save money without compromising quality, and Front Range has exceeded all of my expectations. It's better to meet with staff in person, but you can call or even email for specific things. Visit with an adviser right away! If you don't like the first one you meet, you can always visit with someone else in the future. If you choose to attend classes on campus (instead of sticking with online offerings), be mindful that parking is limited here just like every other campus. Public transportation, if at all possible for you, is the way to go!

Take time to wander around campus the first few days to get your bearings, especially the computer lab which you will use a lot. USE THE LIBRARY, it is no joke that it will help you through some rough research/writing classes, and there is no excuse not to use it since it's on campus! If you are in a math class and the teacher offers office hours then don't be embarrassed if you need them, go! I had an amazing math teacher, especially since I've always struggled with math, and the office hours and math help center were irreplaceable.
