It's expensive but its well worth it. Try getting a dorm style apartment like the one I'll be living in that includes meal plans and shuttles to cut down on your living expenses. Try finding a roomate that is ready to buckle down where its necessary because it will be necessary often. FS's courseload is statistically not light... at all. Be prepared to put a lot of time into a great education.

It is such a beautiful campus, all equipment is state-of-the-art. Teachers actually care about their students, and spend time working on them. If you are at all interested in working in the entertainment industry, i'd highly suggest researching Full Sail University.

Audio production online... I can't say anything bad or good about it. They teach you what you are there to learn, but you can also find the same stuff online, like YouTube for free. imamusicmogal channel(no endorsement) is what I studied and i learned more from that in a much faster time. If you are looking to get a degree for a job, then see if there is a cheaper option, but if you are just wanting to learn how to mix and master or make beats, search online. I can't say anything bad about full sail, I knew the price when I signed up, so I can't say it's a shock that it's expensive. But I don't feel like it's worth the price for a degree. If all you need is a bachelors degree, it doesn't matter what school you went to, as long as that degree says bachelor's. Side note. If you want the launch box from the audio production program but don't want finish a bachelor's degree. Sign up for the bachelor's program, you will get your launch box like 3 1/2 to 4 months into the program. You will have everything that comes with the launch box. After you finish month 5, drop down to the certificate program, you will be done with school, and you still get to keep the launch box. But you still have to pay for But don't mention this when you are signing up, I don't think they will send you the launch box cuz the first 4 months have nothing to do with hands on recording .

You would be better off saving your money and investing in something like Lynda (which we use), YouTube (which we use), and other online videos and tutorials that teach Game Design (which we use). Hardly any of our material comes from lectures or books, as you'd expect with a real college. Half the time the instructors don't bother to teach you the material and instead expect you to find it on the internet on your own. The other half don't bother to grade or review material you've turned in and give you a half-assed grade that they made up at the last possible moment before the class ends. This "college" is a waste of time and money. Please, please don't bother. (Also, please keep in mind I am currently attending this "school" online.)

Full Sail University is the dream school that I wanted to go to; the university provided great opportunities and career choices. A guess speaker came to my school and talked about the programs at the university, which made me even more interested in the college. It seems great and I really hope to get in!

the major contrasting opinions I've seen about this school raise a major concern for me- many people have talked about it in a very very positive light, or a very very negative light. I'm not sure what to believe, but it's made me wonder why such different opinions may be posted.
