    Campus Safety

Security of our small school is very tight. All students are required to have ID badges at all time. Security is roaming around the campus to ensure safety.

    Clubs and Activities

Skills USA is the only program for Adult students. They prepare during the school year for competition. Things to compete it is aircraft maintenance and certain projects.

Great for these types of students

This school is students with a mechanical apptitude

    Bang for the buck

This school is very cheap compared to other places to obtain the same certification. At Baker you can recieve Airframe and Powerplant Ratings for under $10,000 while other places charge at least $33,000

    Food and Dining

The only food on-site is for the high school program and from any teachers that sell. Those items includes hot-dogs and burgers. If you are not interested in that everyday, then bring your own lunch.

    Dorm Life

Our vocational school does not own residences

    Academic Rigor

Training is very straight forward and set by the FAA. Acedemic Grades MUST meet their requirements in order to gain certification. ALL FAA required projects must be above 70% to be satifastory. All final exams for blocks (benchmarks) must be above 70% to be satisfactory. Attendance for blocks must be 85%.

    Tips for prospective students

Since the aviation industry is growing rapidly the demand for this cheap training is very high. The requirements to be enrolled in the school are not that high, all that is required are your High School Diploma or GED and proof of Florida Residency (if not the price is cosiderably higher). But when there is a deadline to enroll, stick to it. Slots for classes fill incredibly fast. People camp overnight for slots to register.

George T. Baker Aviation is a great opportunity to learn technical skills. The aviation industry grows rapidly and education in aircraft maintenance is a stable career choice. All this can also be achieved for a relatively low cost. Instead of paying $33,000 you can pay less than $10,000.
