Front Campus is wide and spacious, always full of Frisbees and people walking their dogs. Evenings can be spent downtown visiting restaurants. There is a park nearby and a river. This is a great place to go tubing, or walk on trails, or play games at parks. The Wellness Center has a rock climbing wall, pool, and basketball courts where many games can be played. Intramural sports are popular opportunities to have fun, whether you are playing or cheering on friends. Thursday nights have Improve shows which are run by GC students and are hilarious every week.

Hanging out with friends is the main thing people do for fun. Because Georgia College is such a small school everyone is in very close proximity to each other and usually walking distance. Whether your friends and you binge watch Netflix, head to our awesome gym, sit in a hammock on front campus, ride bikes, or hang out down town, you can always come up with something to do and there is always someone close to do it with you.

There's of course the standard college-town nightlife, but during the day time, there are some delicious restaurants and beautiful outdoor areas such as the Greenway or Lockerly Arboretum.

Because there isn't much in the way of entertainment at GCSU, you have to get creative. We don't have a football team, so we won't have big blowout homecomings (ours are still pretty fun, though). There's one club that's easy to reach, and their music/atmosphere is pretty questionable sometimes. The bars stop being fun after a while. So, if you want to have fun, make your own. Get to know the people who throw parties on campus, get yourself a tight circle of friends (at least one person should have a car), and make sure you have a couple friends who are of drinking age. Have movie nights, go to other schools, go out to dinner together, go to the school-funded events on campus. Some of my most rewarding nights were just spent talking to my friends till the restaurant closed. If you think that you need to be at wild keggers from Thursday to Sunday for a good time, you're wrong. And if that's your thing, UGA and Georgia Southern are a very short drive away. ;)

Limited options in this small town. However, if you're in some student organization, there are lots of events and activities on campus.

For fun I frequently go with my friends to the local park, and we play flag football, which we also play on an intramural team. At night some of the Greek houses will have parties and most people end up at the little restaurants downtown, which is always fun!

When you're looking for fun at GCSU be sure to go to front campus for a little Frisbee or slack lining activity. This is a very popular activity at Georgia College,
