Honestly, Hamline is way too overpriced for what it offers. I’ve had to try to come up with $6,000 out of pocket just to register for my classes. The financial aid office is a joke and won’t really ever help you. The bookstore is also super overpriced and a joke. Last year I didn’t even receive the books for 2 of my classes because they somehow didn’t have them yet and then this summer, my entire class was given the wrong book and the bookstore worker got upset with us when we all came in to get the correct book (which was like $80 just to rent for a month).

The school is expensive and that's putting it lightly. But I wouldn't get the personal experience with the staff, professors, and community if I attended another school. That was something I was looking for, people who cared about my success so it was a perfect match even if hurts my piggy bank.

It is quite spendy to go to Hamline, and some things, such as the food, could be better for how much we spend.

You pay for your pedigree. They are very willing to work with anyone in any situation to make it work.
