Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. great college! everyone here is so nice and accommodating! they really want to see you succeed. you want to be right on top of everything and if you feel something is not getting done fast enough then jut make a call and they will see whats taking so long!
Katie from Kaneohe, HI
The small classroom sizes at HPU are great. As a student, you aren't just a nobody in a sink-or-swim lecture class. Instead, the instructors are always there to help you out and answer any questions.
Nick from KahuluiKahului, HI
Hawaii Pacific University offers an environment that makes you comfortable learning about different subjects and areas because they allow you to ask questions and take the time to really make sure you understand what you are learning. The teachers here are passionate about what they teach and are always willing to stay after class or come early to help an individual in any way possible. The other students are friendly and always willing to give a hand whether its study time, down time, or carrying some stuff to your room; they are constantly willing to help out a fellow college-mate.
Katya from Montebello, CA
Hawaii Pacific University is one of the most unique colleges I've ever encountered. It's an attractive college to a student like me because I believe that college is more than just good grades, but also about who you know and meet to find connections with for work and for life. Hawaii Pacific University offers this unique perspective by having a rich culture of student body.
