HBU is super over-priced. The business department is understaffed and seemingly underpaid because we don't have much in the area of business clubs, scholarship opportunities, study abroad, road trips, on-campus events, etc. It's not much different in the other departments. I made the most out of what HBU has, getting some very good internships and getting relatively involved on campus. But if you aren't proactively seeking opportunities, you'll find yourself spending $20K+ a semester to sit in old buildings and listen to professors...and that's it.

private school tuition is always going to be expensive and HBU tries to help with scholarships and financial aid. There are opportunities on campus to make some money too (like the rec team).

Most students at HBU are on some sort of scholarship or receive some sort of academic aid whether it be athletic, academic, or need based. Additionally, once the aid comes through, most students are only looking at a cost of $3,000 to $7,000 out of pocket each semester (not bad compared to sticker price).
