It does not cost as much as some of the other colleges to attend. A pell grant could possibly cover tuition and books for most the students. However, the college needs to get the local companies to participate and offer students discounts and provide housing dorms, and shuttle services for students only. There should also be meal plans, although there is a snack bar on the main campus, there needs to be nutritious meals offered through meal plans for each student. Even with a good education, if there is not any available form of nutrition, a student will not have the energy required to do well, academically. Students need affordable college housing, transportation, and food to really be affordable.

They sell new text books in the school bookstore, but they also sell used textbooks which saves a ton of money. If you're looking for a place to get your hair cut/done for a lower price, they have the students getting their beauty license at irsc to do it. From what I've seen, they've always done a great job.

Although this college feels like you are still in highschool at times I believe it is very much bang for your buck in terms of getting your AA and transferring to another college where as if you went to a University to get your AA you would be paying much more.
