There are plenty of things to do for fun in Bloomington. There is sporting events held year round, some of which are free. There are hundreds of clubs, volunteer opportunities, and intramural sports to participate in. There is an astonishing amount of places to grab a bite to eat, or a cold beer. There are plenty of parks, water resorts, rock climbing facilities, movie theatres, and malls too.

Bloomington offers many options for students to use their spare time. The union offers free film viewings for the students every weekend. The Musical Arts Center hosts free student concerts almost every Wednesday night, Operas twice a semester, and frequent ballets. The IU Auditorium offers traveling broadway shows, comedians, musical acts, and other shows. The Neal-Marshal Auditorium offers plays presented by the theatre department, the union also provides areas of bowling and for billiards. The Union Board also presents races and other student life events. There are also many other options around Bloomington for students to take in culture and make these college years memorable. (I have attended Faust, the Nutcracker, Cindrellion, student concerts, and others events at the MAC. I viewed the Greenday American Idiot tour, Peter Pan, and Beauty and the beast broadway tours. I have also attended Straight No Chaser, STOMP, the Blue Man Group, Joshua Bell and the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra, Itzhak Perlman and other traveling groups at the auditorium.)

There are endless options for things to do for fun. There is a very lively downtown area on kirkwood avenue, unfortunately the majority of establishments are bars, but there are also a variety of ethnic restaurants.

There's plenty to do here. There are over 100 student organizations on campus. Joining a club or organization helps this big campus feel smaller and can help you meet a lot of new people. There's plenty of athletic events and parties to go to. Most of the athletic events are free with a student ID. There is also bowling and free movies on campus.

The Art Museum and the IU cinema are some of the greatest places for entertainment on campus. In addition, many, many students party or go to bars. Greek Life is also very popular.

The recreational center was booming when I was there. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I enjoyed being able to interact with the students during this free time of theirs.

Bloomington is an amazing town with unlimited options. For students who are over 21 there is a great nightlife and for those under 21 there is a free bowling center and movie theatre on campus. There is never a dull moment if you are involved in student organizations and the campus hosts a lot of on-campus events.
