Definitely explore the campus, and get involved. Some of the staff and people around are just absolutely amazing, so find something you enjoy and get involved! I'm getting involved in Welcome Week, and I know it will be a great experience for me and the new incoming students.

Athletics. Go to all the other events that aren't mainstream male-dominated sports. Soccer, volleyball, track, etc. Also take part in events hosted by RPS or your dorm/floor. These are great opportunities to meet new people and experience different aspects of campus life.

There's a pretty good mall, bowling at the IMU, and the IU Cinema if you don't mind spending some money. For free though, there is the Lily library, which has some really cool documents and artifacts, and the art museum.

Tailgating is fun if you're into that. I like going to the IU Cinema or Whittenberger Auditorium, where they show free or discounted recently released movies! I like my extracurriculars, get involved in clubs or hobbies. The SRSC has a lot of good games for groups and it's also a good place to work out.

There are plenty of things to do for fun in Bloomington. There is sporting events held year round, some of which are free. There are hundreds of clubs, volunteer opportunities, and intramural sports to participate in. There is an astonishing amount of places to grab a bite to eat, or a cold beer. There are plenty of parks, water resorts, rock climbing facilities, movie theatres, and malls too.
