The quality of the education you get here is really reliant on which specific classes you take. I've had some really challenging, forum-based classes where I felt like I learned a lot, including a lot more beyond just the curriculum. I believe some of these classes really helped me become more perceptive and aware in general, but then, on the other end of the spectrum, I've had classes that are just power points that you copy down every day. They are excruciatingly dull, and the material never really fully sinks in. Being in Hutton Honors college (the honors...

At first, IUB was not my first choice, but I am so glad that I chose to attend. The school has a beautiful campus as well as a good amount of choices on where you want to live. Each semester I love it, and you can't say you don't get your money's worth. Depending on the class, some of them do require a great deal of learning, but it's a great challenge and experience. Definitely take your time to explore the buildings and see what you like. Who knows, you find your favorite study place besides your dorm room!

White dominated school. Minorities will fall victim to stereotyping and prejudices almost daily. Beautiful campus though.

iu has it all . . . world class academics and facilities for music, business, journalism, etc. so much is offered on this amazingly beautiful campus (especially in the spring / fall). if you don't want to join the greek system, you don't have to since there's tons of things to do otherwise. plenty of opportunities to join so many clubs or student organizations. the main downsides i've found is the weak academic advising for underclassmen and the very difficult to use class scheduling system.

IU has a lot to offer and is well worth the price. There are a multitude of majors for students to explore and find their niche, as well as advisers who work tirelessly to help students find the right fit. I am so glad I chose IU and can't wait to see what this university has in store for me.
