Develop good study habits if you have not already done so. It is very rare that one will do well on college exams if they have not studied. Notecards work best for me, but I am sure different strategies help different people more. Pack clothes for each of the four seasons, especially winter. Winter is definitely the longest season here at Ithaca, but it can be beautiful. You really just have to be prepared for everything. Be social. Making friends is very important. Everyone gets homesick, no matter how far away from Ithaca you live. Meeting new people is one of the best parts about college.

If you're considering Ithaca College, you should know first of all how quickly the weather can change in Ithaca! It can go from sunny and 60 to raining and 40 in the span of an hour or two (trust me, this is the voice of experience), and many times your outfit or outerwear can change more than once in one day. Ithaca is a wonderful town; to me, it's a very beautiful and friendly mini-city, and very welcome to college students. I highly recommend visiting the school more than once to make sure you're comfortable with the atmosphere!
