Get the opportunity to know the teachers. I have been going to this school at the LISD campus for two years. Not only can they help you achieve more in class, they can also be a recommendation for a future university if you decide to transfer. If you are struggling in your class, chances are that there may be a tutor to help you. This may not be the case for the harder classes, but you never know. Just remember that the student tutors are students and therefor are not teachers with teaching degrees. They may not be the best in education, but student tutors pass the class with a 3.5-4.0, so they should be able to help you out. When applying for classes, remember that there are multiple satellite colleges of J.C.C. This makes it convenient to work around your schedule if you can afford to drive to another city for class. Other than that, stay sharp and study. Good luck!
