    Campus Safety

There isn't a university PD but the local PD patrols regularly.

    Greek Life

    none

    Clubs and Activities

Phi Theta Kappa are for those excellent academic students who have maintained a 3.5 GPA or better in college and offers great transfer scholarships.

    Bang for the buck

Very affordable for those students who can't afford a 4-year university.

    What to do for fun

Watch local high school sports or the JDCC sports teams.

    Food and Dining

There is a free student lunch meal everyday for students with their ID card and a free campus ministry meal on Friday sponsored by a local church.

    Dorm Life

The dorms are small and only athletes really live there.

    Academic Rigor

The classes aren't much harder than high school classes.

    Tips for prospective students

There isn't much to do in the small town so be prepared to travel an hour or so to a bigger city.

    In three sentences

Small-town college with small classroom setting. The professors and very hand-on and the students are friendly.

    Campus Safety

The dorms are gated in and JD security is working constantly, circling and patrolling the school and dorms.

    Bang for the buck

There are fairly average prices in Brewton but there is not much to do as far as entertainment goes. Everything else is everyday items such as groceries, gas, etc.

    What to do for fun

I would love to brag on my school and say that there is a lot to do that is fun but being that it is a small town besides the local grocery stores and Wal-Mart, there is not much to do unless you make your own fun. There are always the seasonal softball, baseball, basketball and volleyball games that students seem to love to go to but outside of school if you are looking for entertainment it would be advisable to go to Pensacola which only about 45 minutes away.

    Food and Dining

There is a cafeteria but it is only open for lunch and you have to pay for it everyday unless you get a free lunch scholarship. On Fridays, local churches come and provide the students and teachers food for free with a short devotion. Since it is such a small town, grocery stores are no more than 5 minutes away and are not expensive.

    Dorm Life

Being a student athlete and living three hours away from home, the dorms were a perfect way for me to make friends and get comfortable with the school and the environment. The dorms are very clean and the maintenance men are very friendly and make sure you are living as you possible can.

    Academic Rigor

Coming here straight out of high school, the classes were perfect for me to get comfortable with college life. Now that I am in my last semester as a sophomore I am starting to think that the classes may be a little too easy to get me prepared for anything.

    Tips for prospective students

For any incoming students, it is advised to keep up with school work and not let yourself get behind. The work builds up fast and you do not want to overwhelm yourself attempting to do all of the work in one night. Respect is very important at this school and can get you very far here and in life.

    In three sentences

Jefferson Davis is a very nice school perfect for students just graduating high school. The teachers here are very nice and never mind spending one on one time with a student since it is relatively small. There are many activities and clubs to get involved with which make a college experience so much more memorable.

    What to do for fun

Here at Jefferson Davis you really have to make your own fun. From being here though I have been able to focus on my schoolwork more and have been more into my studies.

    Tips for prospective students

Tips I would have for students is to never be afraid to ask for help. Although this school is small everyone is here to help you from the students, to the professors and staff. I would also advise to take work seriously and never put off assignments.

    In three sentences

This is a great school if you want to get more for your money. You get hands on experience with it being a small school and all the faculty is here to help. I would recommend Jeff Davis to anyone that wants a great foundation.

    What to do for fun

This a small town, so there's nothing really to do around here. The only thing to do is go out to eat or ride around. Unless you go out of town.

    Food and Dining

They have an awesome deli in the student center. They serve free food to students whom have a student id. The food is mostly good but on some days it's not that great.

    Dorm Life

I do not live in the dorm area, but I have some friends that do and they say that it's alright. There's really nothing to do over there besides going out to town.

    Academic Rigor

It is not very difficult to make good grades, if you care about school. If you are willing to study and work hard then you will be rewarded with good grades.

    Tips for prospective students

Make sure and meet with your advisor before signing up for anything.

    In three sentences

Jefferson Davis is a wonderful college. It is great for anyone coming right out of high school. They help walk you through everything, and also there's not ,any people in your class, compared to a four-year college.
