This is a GREAT place to get started if you are planning to go on to a four year college or university. It's a wonderful learning environment! Also, JJC has well respected Associate of Applied Science programs that allow you to streamline into a career (Nursing, Vet Tech, Phlebotomy, etc...)!! That's what I'm doing.

Joliet Junior College is a great starting school. There is a lot to learn when going here, not just about education but about your own self. I feel this school is best for undecided students.

Joliet Junior College is a very good school for those just graduating and have no clue what to major in. Professors will stop at nothing to help you excel and teach the material to the best of their ability. It is a great size for those who need a little extra push on transition into college from high school or who are returning to school.

JJC is a great school to attend whether you are freshly out of high school or returning to school as a seasoned adult. There are plenty of sections to choose from during both traditional day classes, as well as evening classes. This may be the oldest public junior college in the United States, but they are very up to date in their technology services, and getting better.

The school itself is located conveniently for all local students in the area. Majority of the professors are there to assist as much as they can, however there are a hand full of faculty there that present themselves as there for a paycheck and your success does not effect them. Class size is small, no more than 40 at the largest.

JJC has great professors and plenty of tutoring that is free to students outside of class, which is very helpful. The school is full of activities with various clubs and organizations hosting them, frequent visiting job fairs, and outside visitors that perform shows and monthly karaoke on campus, but if you prefer to be away from all the noise, there are plenty of places around campus that include sitting outside to enjoy in quiet and to study. The campus is also very safe with campus police constantly patrolling around the parking lots and buildings, and the hallways to ensure everyone is safe and things are okay.

After going to a university and then a community college that I hated, JJC is a breath of fresh air. Beautiful campus, eco-friendly, and the teachers know what they are talking about.

You get less than what you pay for. A very black and white experience from semester to semester. An affordable way to earn your Associate's degree.

Joliet Junior College is very diverse. The staff at JJC overall would be a 2.5/3 rating, some professors are awesome, others are so bad we're not sure how they are teaching at the college level, or at all. Even though this is a junior college, there are real course work and you should apply yourself seriously.
