  • Jun-23-2016 I am accepted here and planning to attend soon

when i went to orientation, there was a bunch of tents of various things to do when the year begins. now, i didn't know how vigorous my work would be or how much free time i would have so i didn't sign up for anything but looked around and they had tents where they would go rafting and climbing mountains and everything. you could also read books in the library, spend some time at campus green, which is this huge area of grass that looks kind of like a peaceful park, riding a bike through there or reading a book on the bench swings they have by campus green. it depends on what you like to do.

drive far far away to the college you wish you were at and drink away memories of this aweful place. the campus clears out on thursday night and everybody goes home to their mommies to get a back-rub and an encouraging pep talk for the micro-agressions and difficulties they experienced that week at school. i imagine they probably are picking out paint colors and furniture for their basement bedroom they will inhabit after they graduate.

There is literally something to do everyday on campus. During the fall, we now have football on Saturdays and homecoming with an amazing homecoming concert. During the spring, we have more show stopping concerts, a festival with inflatables, zip line, and even free swag!! If you are more of a low key person, everyone like to take their eno's around campus, find a nice tree, and hang around. No matter your preference, there's something for you.

KSU has plenty of on campus events and clubs and is only a 20 or 30 minute drive from downtown Atlanta, so there's lots of opportunities to go out and do things. We're close to Georgia State and Tech which also provide lots of things to do.

KSU usually has events on the Kennesaw campus like football games but the Marietta campus can be boring but there are a lot of clubs that have activities and video game tournaments that take place that get set up by the students themselves.

RAs have events nearly every day and there is always something going on at the Campus Green (a large grassy field in the middle of campus). The events that go on range from speed dates to quidditch matches. The amount of randomness that goes on at Kennesaw is so high that it is really hard to find a boring moment.
