    Visit the campus! It's very large and quite a hike, but worth the trip. After the visit, you will know if a large school is right for you, or if you should look for something smaller.

    While the school is quite gorgeous and a fantastic place to be, it is still located in Ohio, so the winters can be quite bitter and unpleasant, make sure to bring plenty of warm clothes. Familiarize yourself with a map of the campus before you start classes too, as it is a large campus and can prove easy to get lost while attempting to make it to class.

    Don't bother the black squirrels or any of the other Kent wildlife. I promise you that's not worth the hassle. Don't get too caught up in the idea that this is a party college, because it's not. Don't test the Kent City Police. Do check out the bunches of student organizations.

    Don't discredit Kent just because it is a larger school. Students are still able to have a very personalized education that challenges them. College may seem like a scary prospect but Kent works very hard to make students feel at home in the community.
