    Don't bother the black squirrels or any of the other Kent wildlife. I promise you that's not worth the hassle. Don't get too caught up in the idea that this is a party college, because it's not. Don't test the Kent City Police. Do check out the bunches of student organizations.

    Don't discredit Kent just because it is a larger school. Students are still able to have a very personalized education that challenges them. College may seem like a scary prospect but Kent works very hard to make students feel at home in the community.

    A few tips I would have to offer is don't think you need to have your major decided as soon as you get to college. It's okay to come in undecided and take several different classes to really get a feel for what you like and don't like. The right major will come along!

    At KSU, we have an awesome program that offers free tutoring for specific classes taught by upper class men or graduate students. I would definitely make time to go to these tutoring sessions at least three times a week. These sessions really helped me out for my challenging classes and probably saved my grades my first freshman semester.
