Go to all of the free events! From getting your nails done in The Nest to strip tease classes to sporting events and the famed Black Squirrel Festival, there's something for everyone. Every weekend the Center for Student Involvement shows a free new movie . . . Guardians of the Galaxy anyone? Get your palm read, go downtown, go to seminars, go dancing and try one of the specialty food events.

Being so close to downtown offers students a lot of options when it comes to fun. There are also a lot of great things to do on campus, so it isn't likely that you would be bored.

Kent State has a very big Greek Community. With seven sororities on campus and fourteen fraternities, there are many different places you can find your home away from home. Also, Kent State is a D1 athletic school, so there are always sporting events going on where you have the opportunity to attend and support the Golden Flashes. All these games and events are also free, which is nice for a college student!

Their are plenty of different activities around campus however most of them are oriented towards increasing knowledge or preparing for the workforce.

The great thing about Kent State University is that there is always something to do. We are always having festivals or concerts right on the campus green. There's hundreds of clubs and intermural sports teams to join. The Rec Center is a great place to workout and we even have a rock climbing wall and many classes such as yoga and Zumba. The campus is so big that we even have many nature trails where you can take a walk during a beautiful day.

Downtown is right next door. There are a lot of clubs you can join, and parties every weekend. Kent is also super close to Akron, Canton, Stow, and Cleveland, which all have a lot to do. Make friends with someone with a car! (Or bring yours)

There's usually always something going on on campus that's free and interesting. Off campus, there's not much to do for the under 21 crowd, other than go to frat parties or the movies. A 20 minute drive to Akron is the closest dance clubs.

For fun I hang out with my friends, and just caught up on our days, and if it is nice out I go for runs.

Go to parks, movies, and there are concerts/bands that play in most of the bars downtown. There is always something going on on campus as well. My favorite is when they have movies outside on the student green, like a drive in, but without the car obviously.
