Downtown Kent is always interesting to explore, with lots of little shops and restaurants. Additionally, the college itself puts on many events all year long, from dive-in movies to the black squirrel festival and stand-up comedy shows.

There are so many fun things to do! My friends and I like to go bowling, swimming, and to the movies they show every weekend in the student center. For those more adventurous, there are multiple bars that you can visit downtown as well as frat parties that happen most Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

There is so much to do in Kent! Kent's downtown is stocked with restaurants, bars and little boutique shops. Also, there are various parks for walking and enjoying nature to bring out the adventurous side of any student ( you can even rent a canoe and go for a little ride in the river!). Clubs! So many wonderful clubs to get involved in, including Greek life (which is very big at Kent).

The recreational center was a fun hang out to meet new people. Their was swimming and multiple actives to do there. Also, the athletic sporting events such as football, basketball, rugby, baseball were fun to go to as well. There is multiple bars and restaurants within walking distance of the campus.

Unlimited! So many clubs and activities around campus. Golf course, wild life area, hiking, clubs, etc. Anything you can think of is here already with a group organized to do it. Also, nice downtown area with shops and bars.

The university offers a massive amount of clubs and activities for students to get involved in. There is also a few large esplanades across campus to give students room to play pickup games of sports like football, ultimate frisbee, baseball, etc.

Go to all of the free events! From getting your nails done in The Nest to strip tease classes to sporting events and the famed Black Squirrel Festival, there's something for everyone. Every weekend the Center for Student Involvement shows a free new movie . . . Guardians of the Galaxy anyone? Get your palm read, go downtown, go to seminars, go dancing and try one of the specialty food events.

Being so close to downtown offers students a lot of options when it comes to fun. There are also a lot of great things to do on campus, so it isn't likely that you would be bored.

Kent State has a very big Greek Community. With seven sororities on campus and fourteen fraternities, there are many different places you can find your home away from home. Also, Kent State is a D1 athletic school, so there are always sporting events going on where you have the opportunity to attend and support the Golden Flashes. All these games and events are also free, which is nice for a college student!
