Tuition, Cost & Aid

Affordability and Cost

Average Net Price Average net price for full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates paying the in-state or in-district tuition rate who were awarded grant or scholarship aid from federal, state or local governments, or the institution. Other sources of grant aid are excluded. Aid awarded anytime during the full aid year is included.

Average net price is generated by subtracting the average amount of federal, state or local government, or institutional grant and scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance. Total cost of attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees (lower of in-district or in-state), books and supplies and the weighted average room and board and other expenses.

What Students Are Saying

Since Kirkwood is a community college it is definitely affordable. The financial aid is very helpful if you qualify and if not there are many scholarships available for any type of student.
Beth from Marion, IA
Kirkwood is affordable. It has the lowest tuition rate in the state of Iowa, and the faculty members are the best. The class sizes are small; only 24 students per class, and the teacher's know you by first name and want to get to know you personally, to help you succeed in their class.
Melissa from Tipton, IA
The instructors are always willing to help you if you are willing to help yourself. Job placement is one subject Kirkwood is great at. They will help you write an incredible resume, help you find a job, and help you succeed, if you are willing.
