Kirtland is worth every dollar of the low tuition. Although the academics are not the highest quality, you can get a fine education if you are willing to work hard and ask for help. If you are ever stuck or confused, Kirtland has a wealth of resources for assistance. The teachers are readily available, the library offers free tutoring, essay advice, and a math expert, and even your fellow students will be eager to lend a hand (although . . . don't rely on your fellow students' opinions, since we're not always the brightest). Overall, Kirtland is a wonderful way to start earning credits (and becoming smarter, if you want) at lower cost and lower stress than you'll find at a four-year university.

KCC does allow you to save quite a bit of money over a 4-year college, as long as you're in district. I have learned a lot with every course I have taken here. Smaller class sizes definitely help with that. There are also several scholarships offered by the college (including one for homeschooled dual-enrolled students, which I won) as well as a Phi Theta Kappa chapter, which can open up many scholarship options through that organization.
