Am learning a lot
As of yet, I have taken general education requirements. Although the instructors vary in their methods of teaching, they all seem to show efficiency and experience. The best part about LCC is that everyone - the instructors, as well as the people in admissions, etc. - cares about your problems as well as your progress.
Am enjoying being here
Never would I have guessed that I would enjoy college. I was always afraid that college employees would be cold and indifferent. However, I have been proven wrong! Almost every person I've met at LCC is the opposite. They are friendly and open to questions.
Bang for the buck
LCC provides many financial aid options.
Tips for prospective students
There is one major tip I can give: MEET THE DEADLINES. Whether the deadline is for an entrance application, scholarship application, or an assignment for a class - always stay ahead. In my experience, catching up is five times harder than keeping the pace.
Great for these types of students
Hard workers should do well at LCC. The work isn't too difficult, but the amount given can sometimes seem overwhelming. However, if you are a good planner, and if you stay organized, you should do well!

In three sentences
I was able to experience times of my life I will never forget from this school. Great staff, community, and school. Makes you feel right at home and the staff and community seem like family.
Tips for prospective students
Take advantage of every minute you have here. There are plenty of opportunities for help in any area. Everyone is friendly and don't be afraid to ask for help. There are great people involved in this school and I will always thank and remember them for everything!
Academic Rigor
Classes were easy to get enrolled in, there were always guidelines set and followed, and if a class was canceled you were notified. I never was enrolled in a class I didn't need, and I was always able to find the class I needed.
Dorm Life
Although Labette doesn't have dorms, the town of Parsons has tons of houses and apartments available to students, even for a good price. Labette is starting to make dorms as we speak though, there are a few where some athletes have been living in, and they are very nice.
Food and Dining
There is no meal plan offered here, but there is a very nice dining area and great cooks and helpers in the Cardinal Cafe. There are meal cards that are for sale and students usually take advantage of those. Great food though, I chose to eat there more often then eating at home or the fast food choices.
What to do for fun
Not too many attractions for students in the town, but there is a local bowling alley and a movie theatre.
Bang for the buck
This school has made a huge impact on my life. I was a member of the softball team here at Labette and the support and care was always there. No matter if you are just a student or a student-athlete you are all treated the same, as I have friends who just attend, and they feel the same way. Being able to become an athlete for this school though, really showed that the staff and community really care about their students and athletes here. I loved every minute of my experience and I suggest this school to anyone.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
The Gym is the hangout. Everyone hangs here just for any reason really.
Great for these types of students
The staff and caring teachers/coaches.
Clubs and Activities
Have plenty of activity here; ranges from athletics to academic programs. There are a variety of each one.
Campus Safety
It's a very safe campus. Attended for 3 years and never experienced a problem.

Am learning a lot
The classese I have taken have been small and allowed me to get more one on one with the teacher. That to me makes me feel like I am learning what I need to be learning.
