When one’s stuck, they could easily talk to the professor because (1) they usually know each students’ situation and (2) since they devote themselves in teaching in small classes, they want students to be involved and come up to them. When you talk to them, you can expect them to be caring and grateful for you to come. Before, I was afraid to talk with my teachers. Now, I am...

Lake Forest College is ideal for a student looking for a very small campus feel where almost everyone knows each other. Although I did not find that to be very ideal for me because the campus is really small and about a mile away from downtown Lake Forest and an hour and a half train ride to the city. I transferred out of the college when I was still a freshman and I am happy with that decision.

Lake Forest encourages students to learn, offering many opportunities to those who attend. They make a great deal of effort to make students feel at home with both their facilities and their staff. If you put in the effort, LFC will pay you back 10-fold.

While, it claims to be closes to downtown Chicago, it for me anyway is not close enough, by train its an hour away. On campus there isn't that much to do, the school mainly focuses on academics. Also this school really feels for like a high school then a college, because people here are very cliquey.

It was filled with surprises, and I learned that it is a school that really helps students become successful by providing them with plenty of resources.

The small school accounts for a very strong academic basis with small class sizes and one-on-one attention from professors. It is really nice to be able to walk to class and know almost everyone you walk past. There is a good sense of community at this school.
