My experience at Lake-Sumter has been wonderful! I am only 16 years old and was worried about being in a college environment, but Lake-Sumter is very friendly. I have loved my on-campus teachers this semester and am excited about continuing my education next semester at Lake-Sumter.

LSSC is overall a great college for any student that likes small class sizes, high academic standards, and great student assistance. Many of the class sizes are under 25 students, so the instructor is able to provide one-on-one assistance outside of class. The academic advisors, ad transfer coordinators are always willing to help you meet your academic goals.

The college has made many improvements since transitioning to a state college. The advisors have not been very helpful and the school is out dated but it is making changes to improve this. The class sizes are small, but the class hours are either very early in the morning, or early evening.

Lake Sumter Sate College provides several opportunities for the students that attend the school. Not only are the face to face, hybrid, and online classes fair but there are always tutoring options available at the learning center with reasonable hours. As for the students who wish to attend the University of Central Florida, Lake Sumter Community Colleges from Sumter, South Lake, and Leesburg act as region campuses for the student's convenience.

Lake Sumter is a great college to start off with. It has an excellent math department and many student activities. It challenges you but not too much to the point were you become stressed.

    1. Beware of the teachers you are signing up to teach you. 2. Make sure you get everything done early or face being told that you can't be helped. 3. Always make appointments for everything as well as keeping all paperwork for documentation (i.e. homework, tests, notes).
