    Take notes on everything, Take advantage of the free tutoring that you can find in the learning center, and join the review classes if you're having a difficult time in certain subjects!

    The professors at lake state are very nice and are willing to do anything to help a student, do not be afraid to make your self close to your professors, it will not only help you but they also enjoy it! Be prepared to stay inside and study a lot! the winter starts early and ends late so walking to and from class is a cold one. also learn to like hockey!

    Be prepared for the food to continually get worse. The walk is really nice, it's short and pretty year round. Be prepared for public safety to get you for stupid tickets. Activity center is pretty nice, although they give preference to athletes. Campus Life does a pretty good job at keeping people busy, although the winters in the Soo are extremely harsh.
