If there is one thing students should realize when coming to lakeland, is that becoming involved is very important in having a great college experience. You don't want to be that student that isn't involved in anything. With that being said join a club or a sport, It will really benefit your social and academic experience. Be open to meeting new people and making friends with everyone, it will benefit you in the long run.

DO NOT COME HERE If you are an athlete & are interested in exploring GREEK life. Coaches will CUT you from the team with NO WARNING WHAT SO EVER when they find out you are considering/pledging a Greek Organization! Its a good school overall, but if you want to explore other activities outside of your sport, it is COMPLETELY DISCOURAGED by coaches. This is a D3 school, so no athletic scholarships are offered, but coaches try to control you as if you were getting a full scholarship.

If you are thinking about continuing your education, do not wait! Schedule an appointment with a counselor and they are very helpful with walking you through the process in a very non-stressful fashion.
