Am learning a lot
I have learned a lot while attending this school. I have been going here for over a year and have been happy with all my instructors. The professors are friendly and helpful when you need information. The classes were not too easy or too difficult.
Am enjoying being here
I attended a full year at Center Campus and a semester at South Campus. The school is clean and tidy. I personally don't enjoy being here that much, just for the fact that a community college doesn't really provide the college experience as compared to a University. At a University, there are thousands of people that live within a 10 mile radius and all have their own places and parties and gatherings on the weekends. At Macomb Community College, most of the students live with their parents still and usually don't have much going on during the weekdays or weekends. The good thing about this school is that its not as big as a campus and its easy to find your classes and not get lost. Faculty members are friendly and very helpful when you need them.
Bang for the buck
It is definitely a great deal, with classes that cost under $100 per credit hour. I have worked part time making little about minimum wage and have been able to afford classes and books without taking out any student loans. Universities offer credit hours that sometimes cost more than triple the amount compared to Macomb Community College. It was nice for me to attend this school and not have to sweat worrying about student loans.
Tips for prospective students
Make sure you fill out the financial aid in time and also register for classes as soon as it is possible. Sometimes classes fill up fast and you will be stuck with hours that are not convenient. Stay focused and don't skip classes, as it is very easy to get behind when you start slacking.
Great for these types of students
Students who don't want to go away or are trying to save as much money as possible.

While I prefer the more seasoned classical teachers. All my courses have had a rich amount of information in them. What you can learn really does warrant the credits you'll receive.
Am enjoying being here
The campus is very safe and parking is plentiful.
Bang for the buck
Be wary that they will withhold your Financial Aide access for as long as possible. This includes making your money only available in their on campus store the week before your class starts.
Tips for prospective students
Don't buy books unless you've been told you need to and moreover save your receipts.

Yes the small classes make it easier for to study to get more help from teachers and ask questions.
Am enjoying being here
i enjoy the atmosphere people are friendly and easy to relate to since most of the student are from the same community.
Bang for the buck
At Macomb a full time student will only have to pay 864 for 12 credit hours which is great. Other colleges tuition's are about 10 times more than Macomb
Tips for prospective students
Show up to class and always study because if you want to succeed the book will have to be your best friend.
Great for these types of students
People who do not have the finances for a university and students who slack in high school

Am learning a lot
Several of the general ed classes at macomb seem to be slightly below average in terms of difficulty. Much of the class is a review from high school courses. Though teachers can be a hit or miss, you still have to work hard for a good grade.
Am enjoying being here
Macomb really has a great overall atmosphere. It's a comfortable, friendly place to be. The school isn't too large, nor too small, so students still have the opportunity to make friends.
Bang for the buck
Macomb offers a significant amount of classes, on top of that is a beautiful campus. For a full-time student (12+ credit hours) it will cost you about $900. Universities have single classes that cost about that. Macomb is a good deal.
Tips for prospective students
I suggest you get referrals for teachers, either from friends or counselors. Also leave early, (not just the first day) depending on what lot your in, it can be very time consuming to find a spot-especially in winter. Register as early as possible, join a waitlist if need be, your chances are good.
Great for these types of students
Macomb isn't specifically for a single type of person. It's a cheaper alternative to a larger university, the only thing it lacks is the personal dorm rooms. Macomb welcomes great diversity!

Am learning a lot
You really learn a lot at college, just remember to study what you have learned occasionally.
Am enjoying being here
I have really enjoyed attending Macomb, but sometimes the teachers make the classroom atmosphere quite dull. My advice would be to try and find out information on the professors before you sign up for their classes.
Bang for the buck
If you are paying your own way through school like I am, this is the way to go.
Tips for prospective students
Even though your friends may think that it is cool to skip class, you really shouldn't. First of all, it is very disrespectful to your professor-no matter how boring you think they are. Also, either yourself, your parents or the government is paying for your schooling, so don't let them down-or yourself. It drives me crazy when I hear people talking about skipping or partying when I am trying so hard to put myself through school with no steady income--come on people you really need to shape up and get your priorities straightened out. The last thing that I will say is that parking at macomb can be quite tricky sometimes. Make sure that you give your self enough time before your classes so that you can find a parking spot-in other words, don't leave your house at the last minute and expect to be on time for your class. Lastly, watch your speed and make sure you park only in a parking spot, I know it sounds ridiculous but I have seen many kids get tickets for not doing that.
Great for these types of students
Macomb community college is a great school because it offers great classes for a much lower price as well as offering after school clubs, sports and activities. The campus is really pretty and there are trails for walking on and places the take a break in between classes. This is a good school for those who have a lower income or are paying their own way through school.

It is nice and you don't have to pay for housing.
Bang for the buck
It is cheaper and you do get your money worth from the classes.
